Meet Team INFINIT: Maddy Frank
- 6 Jul 2017
Since the very begininng Maddy Frank has proven herself to be a testiment to resiliancy.
Sixteen years ago, Team INFINIT Athlete, Maddy Frank, was born weighing just 1 pound 13 ounces. From the second she was born Maddy was a fighter. This resiliancy has helped her develop into a fierce competitor on the bike, and has enabled her to crush every obstacle she has met along the way.
She may not even be old enough to vote, but don't let her age fool you! Maddy is a beast on the bike. She starting biking at age 6 with her family, but her love of anything with two wheels and her fighting spirit naturally led her to take her talents to the next level. Maddy started competing in a variety of cycling events including BMX, cyclocross, triathlons, criterion, duathlons, fat biking, and now mountain biking.
"I don’t use gel supplements at all, and INFINIT replaces the need for those, so there’s no hassle with opening them or fussing with them during races.”
In her short time competing, Maddy has proven herself to be a powerhouse. In 2016, she competed in the MTB National Championships at age 15, coming in 11th in both the XC and XC short track in Category 1.
Maddy was named Meijer State Games Athlete of the Year 2015, and in June of 2016, Maddy was named the Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan Kids Can "Kid of the Month." This honor is given to athletes under 18 years old that are participating and excelling in athletic ventures. The goal is to inspire kids to get out and get active, just like Maddy has done for almost ten years on her bike.
Maddy has been using Infinit since she was 12 years old because, “It sits well in my stomach. I don’t use gel supplements at all, and INFINIT replaces the need for those, so there’s no hassle with opening them or fussing with them during races.”
