Should I have more than one formula for long distance training and racing?
Q Should I have more than one formula for long distance training and racing?
A Yes! We recommend athletes who are racing longer endurance events of 3 hours or more to use two different formulas:
- An endurance mix — Higher in calories with a few grams of protein for long efforts of 3 or more hours.
- A sprint mix — Calories 15-20% lower with NO protein for activity under 3 hours.
